Ohmygoodness, I am SO excited for this. For so many reasons, but especially because this topic has been on my mind (consumed my thoughts) lately and I definitely have had the feeling that I must be doing it wrong. I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts and discoveries and exploration of this part of life. 💛
Thanks for the excitement Tami — and the 'doing it wrong' feeling can be such an isolating one, but I sense definitely not an uncommon one. Hope to illuminate some helpful gems ❤️
Thanks Satya, I'm really excited to delve into the topic — it's so rich. And no no no, this newsletter will remain as it is with regular essays, interviews and the weekly things. A social life, with friends is a new project to fill the podcasting void I've felt recently. Thanks for clarifying ❤️
Thanks for this post. So True: Things in our life ebb and flow. We move through different seasons. Our priorities and responsibilities shift. Our desires and interests morph. We are limited
Looking forward to this new venture! This topic is near and dear to my heart as I was reminded of who my support system truly is after a traumatic event. Making new friends and keeping old is hard as an adult & to your point, often something that we put on the back burner. I think it’s important to invest in your relationships because it will only pay dividends when you need them ❤️🩹
Well if this wasn’t riiiiight on time. I think and reflect on these things often. i’m grateful that you the time and space to share and explore this journey with us. So freakin excited to witness, engage, and learn. And share with others. Kuddos and congrats!
I am really looking forward to this...a great topic and very timely for me as I venture into a new chapter of my life...one where a social life will hopefully dominate. Wishing you very success with this exciting project.
Excited for your new project, Madeleine! I nurture my friendships. They are the relationships that have seen me through life more than any other (my three-decades-long marriage ended a year ago as my own choice, and my women friends kept me afloat). I am also trying to deepen my friendships, even the ones I've had for decades. There is always room to grow. So I look forward to learning more in your new podcast and newsletter.
I’m so excited to see this! As a lifelong introvert, I’ve been actively trying to nourish my social life since recently having a baby, so I don’t become isolated and lonely, or lose my friendships. It’s such a journey! I’m really looking forward to seeing your project unfold and learning from it ❤️
Thank you for sharing a bit of your experience Natalie — I hope the project brings lots of ideas as well as comfort. And well done on all you're doing ❤️
This sounds GREAT X
Thanks Emma — you're on my interview wish-list, naturally! ❤️
